As a creative team focused primarily on web and digital experiences, we’re looking for a talented individual who can bridge the gap between user experience design and development. We are seeking a UX designer-developer to join our team on a project/freelance basis.
Position Overview
This is a contract/project-based role for a UX designer with strong WordPress development skills. Projects and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing and developing user-centered digital experiences from concept to implementation using WordPress
- Creating wireframes and designs directly in-browser using Beaver Builder or Bricks
- Implementing our streamlined process of research, strategy, wireframing, and design as one cohesive phase
- Collaborating closely with the creative director, project managers, and clients to understand their needs and bring their visions to life
- Ensuring all digital products meet accessibility standards and function seamlessly across devices
- Helping maintain and evolve our WordPress design and development standards
- Staying up-to-date with UX trends and WordPress best practices
This role offers the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate with a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients.
This is a part-time contractor position with the potential for growth as our business expands. We offer competitive rates commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both UX design and WordPress development capabilities
- Experience with WordPress page builders, particularly Beaver Builder or Bricks
- Proficiency in UX design principles and best practices
- Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
- Experience with user research and strategy development
- Ability to translate research insights into functional WordPress designs
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
