Empowering Your Business with WordPress Website Development
This post was originally a simple dummy-content post designed to help us test the new site design from both a layout and a where-does-this-content-show-up perspective. It’s not often that a dummy post makes it to the live site and yet here we are. What happened you ask? Well let’s explore that:
WordPress can empower your business.
The title here says it all. And this is the original title from the moment I hit the Add New post button. WordPress is by far the best web platform for most businesses. There may be better platforms for specific businesses with specific use cases, and if the comments section below ever lights up we’ll definitely hear from the edge cases. But this isn’t Reddit so nobody is going to pop in to pop off and FALSE me.
So how can WordPress empower the majority of businesses? By being a web content platform that balances ease of use with powerful features. Here’s a completely non-exhaustive list:
- Designed for content: WordPress started as a blogging engine and while that may sound like a bad thing, at its core WordPress was built to make publishing content easy.
- Search Engine Friendly: Out of the box, a basic vanilla installation of WordPress is optimized for search engines. Beyond that, there are powerful plugins available to assist in SEO optimization even further, with developers whose job is to stay on top of best practices. There may be no better platform if your goal is organic growth
- Own your content: A WordPress (.org) powered website is yours and yours forever. It’s hosted on a server of your choice and can’t be taken away in a merger or a shutdown. It’s not the only way to own your own stuff, but it’s one of the best. This might be the number one reason to move off platforms like Squarespace, Shopify, or Wix.
- Flexible features: At its core WordPress is a PHP based application. If there is a feature you need, it either likely already exists in the vast plugin community, or can be built from scratch by a developer. No “get what you get” here.
- Scaleable: There’s no limits on traffic or size of the site. Good hosting helps here too but, as your business grows, so will WordPress along side you. You can handle more visitors, add capabilities, and expand storage as needed.
- Cost Effective: Nothing is free, even free software. Compared to subscription based options however, WordPress can be… well, let’s face it – nothing is free and you get what you pay for with any platform. WordPress isn’t necessarily cheap, especially if you hire us to build one of our masterpieces.
WordPress empowers businesses by providing an accessible platform to cost-effectively create an impactful online presence. Leverage its SEO, customizability, engaging content and ecommerce capabilities to connect with customers and drive growth for your company. With WordPress as the foundation, the possibilities for your business are endless.
WordPress Development
The development part is where we step in. We’ve built sites on WordPress since nearly the beginning. Or first WordPress site was built back in 2006, and while we dabbled in other platforms by 2009 were full-time WordPress development studio. We’ve long prided ourselves on writing clean code and doing things the ‘right’ way and that history has become the base of what we do. We now use modern techniques for rapid layouts, but it’s all built on a base of lean mean code. Our sites are built from scratch rather than ‘tweaking’ a pre-built theme. When you approve one of our design concepts, you’ll get a near pixel perfect version of that on the live site.

Let’s close out this dummy-content post with the original text:
You’re all clear, kid. Let’s blow this thing and go home! I want to come with you to Alderaan. There’s nothing for me here now. I want to learn the ways of the Force and be a Jedi, like my father before me. As you wish. The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers. I need your help, Luke. She needs your help. I’m getting too old for this sort of thing. I find your lack of faith disturbing.
Yes, I find your lack of faith disturbing.
