Google Ads Specialist

As a small but growing agency, we’re seeking a talented Google Ads Specialist to join our team as a part-time contractor.

Position Overview

  • We are looking for a skilled Google Ads Specialist who can efficiently manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns for our diverse client base. Proficiency with Semrush tools is preferred. 
  • You will maintain/optimize existing ad campaigns, develop new targeted ad campaigns, monitor performance metrics, perform keyword research, manage ad budgets, and continuously refine campaigns to maximize ROI.
  • This role offers the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate with a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients.
  • This is a part-time contractor position with the potential for growth as our agency expands. We offer competitive rates commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and manage high-performing Google Ads campaigns across Search, Display, Video, Shopping, and other campaign types for clients across various industries.
  • Perform keyword research and analysis to identify profitable opportunities and improve campaign performance.
  • Optimize campaigns through A/B testing, audience targeting, ad copy refinement, and bid management. 
  • Track and monitor key metrics such as CTR, CPC, conversion rate, and ROAS to achieve optimal placement and visibility and ensure campaign success.
  • Leverage Semrush tools for advanced keyword tracking, ad position tracking, and reporting.
  • Manage local listings in Semrush to enhance clients’ online presence and visibility in relevant geographic areas. 
  • Generate quarterly reports in Semrush and Looker Studio on campaign performance and provide actionable insights for optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align advertising strategies with broader marketing objectives.


  • Proven experience managing Google Ads campaigns, including keyword research, ad creation, and optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Ads platforms, bidding strategies, and optimization techniques. 
  • Proven experience using Google Tag Manager. 
  • Proficiency with Semrush tools and the ability to leverage them for keyword research and tracking, as well as campaign analysis and optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Experience with Semrush local listing management and understanding of local SEO strategies is a plus.
