Stillpoint Healing Center
Talented Park City acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner Maile McKain needed an upgrade to her logo and website. She had a WordPress site she did herself, but it lacked professionalism and didn't embody her brand or practice. Spigot worked closely with Maile to create a new logo and website to match her philosophy, clearly represent her services, give potential patients a feel for what she's all about, and make booking and appointment logistics easy.
Stillpoint Healing Center Project Overview
Maile has a successful practice and wasn't necessarily looking for a bunch of new clients, but she's a forward thinker and understands the importance of a cohesive brand and solid web presence - because that's where everyone is looking.
Maile struggled with how to talk about her own business and where to start (as we find many business owners do). Through our Content Strategy phase, we helped her get clarity on how the website should be organized and what it needed to say and do. She then worked with an outside copywriter to craft messaging that aligned with her goals.
Spigot completed the logo design first, which set the stage for color and font choices. We then completed SEO research and a custom design solution. After the design was approved, we developed the website while Maile finalized the copy.
Project Highlights
Spigot designed a white site and used calming imagery to break up the copy into easy-to-digest sections. Our goal was to lead visitors through the site in a manner that is not overwhelming. Subtle parallax design elements were incorporated throughout the site, as were other subtle movements in the header with the logo and schedule button.
A simple white footer was created to tie in the lotus logo in the background, with directions, schedule, contact and hours easily found on every page. Testimonials show randomly throughout the site each time a page is visited or refreshed. Stock imagery is dominant throughout the site, with some custom imagery.
