Park City Museum
The original museum website was created over many years by many different people. As a result, there was little coherence from page to page, and many pages were mini-websites within the main site. This left visitors wondering where they were within the site and struggling to get back to the main content.
Now, visitors can navigate the museum's site without fear of getting lost at parkcityhistory.org.
Park City Museum Project Overview
The Museum was very eager to consolidate the site under one branded look and feel. The information presented was also pared down to the most important bits with a plan to grow the site from a solid, singular foundation.
The site features a custom design, search-engine-friendly coding and a WordPress-powered content management system. We used a jQuery javascript framework for special effects and continue to provide website support and hosting through our sister company, Cinch Web Services.
Take a moment and tour the museum. You won't regret it.
Way We Were... now feeds automatically sitewide.
One of the museum's many educational outreach efforts, the Way We Were historical essays take online visitors back in time to learn about the interesting and varied history of Park City. While these research projects are featured in the Park Record's email newsletter, they were lost to the museum's website visitors in the disorganization of the old site.
We wanted these historical gems to be featured prominently on the new site, so we created a custom post feed that made it easy for visitors to access the newest Way We Were posts. Now, not only do the Way We Were posts look great, they automatically update and feed sitewide.
