Hi Vince,
It's been great working with you over the years, and we're excited to take things to the next level with a full rebuild of the Custom Getaways site.
You know the current site better than anyone — what works, what doesn't, and where it's getting in the way. The trip library is solid, the content is there, and the guest experience you've built speaks for itself. But the platform is showing its age, mobile performance is a real liability, and the site isn't doing justice to what Custom Getaways actually delivers.
That's what we're here to fix.
Below is our proposal to rebuild the site from the ground up — preserving the structure and content you've invested in, modernizing the experience, and giving you a foundation that's easier to manage and built to grow with you.
Project Summary
CHALLENGE
The Custom Getaways website has a strong content foundation — a deep trip library, great photography, and years of refinement — but the platform and presentation are working against you. The site feels dated, underperforms on mobile, and doesn't make it easy for prospects to quickly grasp what you offer, find the right trip, and reach out. For a business built on premium experiences, the site should be closing more of that gap on its own.
SOLUTION
A full rebuild that will:
- Migrate and modernize the existing trip library into a clean, templated structure that's easy to manage and built to scale
- Design a site that leads with the experience — the peloton, the climbs, the group rides, the moments that make these trips worth taking
- Organize trips clearly by race and year so prospects can find exactly what they're looking for without digging
- Integrate YouTube video content in a way that brings the experience to life before anyone fills out a form
- Ensure the site performs well on mobile, where a significant portion of prospective guests will encounter it first
OUTCOME
A rebuilt Custom Getaways website that works as hard as the trips themselves — visually compelling, easy to navigate, and built on a platform you can manage and grow over time as your route lineup evolves.
INVESTMENT
$15,500 with work completed in 15 - 16 weeks from kickoff. This includes full design and development of the site, migration of the existing trip content structure, and a hands-on training session so your team can manage and update the site confidently going forward. The more you use it, the better we can make it together.
Our Design Approach
Custom Getaways sits in a rare category — it's not just a travel company, it's a front-row seat to some of the greatest sporting events in the world. The website needs to reflect that. Not in a loud, over-designed way, but in a way that makes a prospective guest feel the pull of the peloton before they've read a single word of copy.
Our design philosophy for this rebuild centers on three principles:
Let the Experience Lead
The trips sell themselves — if the site gets out of the way. We'll design around the imagery and video you already have, building layouts that prioritize visual impact over text-heavy descriptions. The goal is for someone landing on the home page to immediately understand: this is something different.
Clarity for the Committed Buyer
Your guests aren't impulse shoppers. They're researching, comparing, and planning months in advance. The site needs to make that research process easy — trips organized by race and year, clear itinerary details, and a straightforward path to reaching out. We'll build a trip library that's intuitive to browse and simple to filter, so the right guest finds the right trip without friction.
Built to Evolve
You add routes, update trips, and refine details every season. The site should support that without requiring a developer every time. We'll build on a flexible templating system that makes updating trip content — descriptions, dates, pricing, photos — something your team can handle confidently on your own. The training session we do at launch is the starting point, not the finish line.
The result: A site that matches the caliber of the experience you're selling — one that earns trust quickly, makes research easy, and gets out of the way so you can close the deal.
Project Details
We'll rebuild the Custom Getaways site on WordPress using Bricks Builder and Advanced Custom Fields. The current site uses ACF for the trip content structure, which we can carry forward and refine — but Bricks replaces the existing page builder with something significantly more capable. It's a modern, visual-first builder that gives us far more design control, performs better out of the box, and makes the site easier to maintain and extend over time. It's a meaningful upgrade under the hood.
Strategy and Design
- We'll review the current site in detail before design begins, identifying what to preserve, what to restructure, and where the biggest opportunities are
- Home page and core interior page templates will be designed first, establishing the visual direction before we build out the full site
- Trip archive and single trip templates will be purpose-built for the CPT structure — clean, consistent, and easy to replicate as new trips are added
- Testimonials carried forward and integrated into the design — surfaced where they'll do the most work, not buried in a separate section
- Technical SEO best practices throughout: clean heading structure, meta tags, alt text, and mobile optimization
- YouTube video integration built into the design — not bolted on after the fact
Development and Content
- Full rebuild on WordPress + Bricks Builder with ACF handling the trip and testimonial content structures
- Existing CPTs and field structures imported and refined — no starting from scratch on the data side
- All core pages built and content-ready at launch
- Trip pages templated and ready for content entry
Content Training
Rather than handling all 21 trip pages ourselves, we'll set you up to own that process. We'll build the templates, migrate a representative set of trips to establish the pattern, and walk you through a hands-on training session so your team can handle the rest — and handle future trips as they're added. The more you work in the system, the more natural it becomes, and the easier it is for us to refine and improve things together over time.
Launch
We'll coordinate launch timing with your team and deploy directly to your existing Cinch hosting environment. Post-launch support and maintenance continues through your current Cinch plan — no changes needed on that front.

Start Date
We're currently booking projects for late spring and summer 2026. Based on current availability, we're targeting a kickoff of May 20th, with an estimated launch window of early September.
We're a small, deliberate team — we take on a limited number of projects each year specifically so we can give each one the attention it deserves. That means our timelines are realistic rather than optimistic, and we communicate openly when things shift. You've been with us long enough to know how we work, and that doesn't change here.
If May 20th works on your end, we recommend confirming soon so we can hold the spot and begin prep work ahead of kickoff.
To hold your spot, please confirm by May 6, 2026.
