Renovated facility, refurbished website
Reopening in October 2009, the Park City Historical Society and Museum’s newly renovated facility will feature more space, more exhibits, and more of Park City’s history. Along with the new facility comes a new branding push, with a new identity system by Lindon Leader of LeaderCreative, and a new website by yours truly.
Giveaway Winners
The Park City Museum is actually the winner of the website giveaway we held last year at this time. The giveaway was open to Summit County businesses and all you had to do was fill out a short survey to get in on the drawing. The plan is to do it again, perhaps every couple of years, so be sure to check back periodically. Or better yet, subscribe to our mailing list (below, in the footer).
The Process
The original Museum website was created over many years by many different people. As a result there was little coherence from page to page, and many pages were mini websites within the main site. This left visitors wondering where they were within the site, and struggling to get back to the main content. The Museum was therefore very eager to consolidate the site under one branded look and feel. The information presented was also pared down to the most important bits, and to plan on growing the site from a solid, singular foundation.
The site features a custom design, search engine friendly coding, and a WordPress powered content management system.
Site features:
- Custom design
- Coded for search engine optimization
- jQuery javascript framework special effects
- WordPress powered Content Management System
- Hosting by Cinch Hosting
