As the date for the end of MobileMe is getting near I am looking for the best ways to have all those things MMe use to sync together using other methods. As you described I pretty much went with all those solutions. Dropbox and Sugarsync seem like the best ways to have large files saved over the internet and Xmarks for my bookmarks though there was a slight issue with Firefox and Safari integrating, but I solved in right away. Over the next few weeks I will keep track on the progress of how well it all works. Now to move my webhost to another place. I will check out HostExcellence.

Function commands are the secondary function of the button (you have to hold Fn to get it) and then it is indeed fullscreen on a browser. Not sure what else its meant to do! Perhaps it means ‘ you can’t make design be without context, i.e. filling the users viewport.

F11 as volume-down is very mac-centric!!!

Thanks for the heads up Brad, I have fixed the error. While this was probably a type/auto-correct issue for me*, I still was interested in understanding the differences between whose and who's. Here's an article from Grammar Girl detailing when it's acceptable to use whose: Whose for Inanimate Objects. *I say 'probably' but I could just be a grammar grom.

Hmm, does no one else spot the other F11 correlation here?

As far as I’ve seen F11 makes all major browsers (that I’ve tried it in) full-screen. I was sure that was the intended reference when I saw the title.

Thanks for the tips on preventing bookmark overload. I especially like #2 about Evernote. I keep my Evernote system pretty clean – deleting information once I no longer need it. I can see how it can get overloaded as well though :) – Thanks for your comments.

I had the same problem due to years of upgrading, using Xmarks (previously FoxMarks), multiple computers (Mac and PC., and generally just bookmarking way too many things.

This is how I fixed my issue:
my.xmarks.com -> Tools -> Duplicate Bookmarks

Then, as your instructions keep 1 master copy (On my Mac), and delete everything else everywhere.

Lastly I’d like to add:
Preventing Bookmark Overload:
Tip 1: Only Bookmark if it is an ONLINE TOOL
Tip 2: If it is INFORMATION on the page that you need for future reference paste it to EVERNOTE
(This way the information will be at your disposal, even if the website goes down…)

So, in a couple of years we’ll see a post on how to delete duplicates in evernote..

After researching this, I understand that icloud doesn’t let you simply “drop” microsoft office files in icloud as does mobile me. Icloud requires converting the files to numbers and pages programs which then must be converted back to microsoft excel or word. Am I wrong?
